Project Description

This was Coro's 2nd virtual spring event since the pandemic started. The theme this year was "The New Leadership Landscape". They usually let me play with different concepts and ideas and it's a lot of fun. In the first round we really loved these little paper boats for their visual simplicity but Coro worried that we would run into trouble for cultural appropriation. That hadn't even occurred to me, but these were origami boats and I have no idea what their meaning or symbolism might be in Japanese culture. I tried a bunch of other design concepts that didn't feel quite right to Coro and then their CEO suggested arrows and that is the concept that won in the end. The arrows weren't quite as cute as the paper boats, but I hope they were just as bold and eye catching.
